Femme

...something different...
I started off painting this as a monochromatic, stone-carved face but I kept noodling with it and ended up adding color etc.
ACK! I keep hearing this reminds people of a crying clown painting (makes ME want to cry.) Actually, this came about from inspiration I had in the early 80's. I dug Mel Odom.

Hmmm...you know it reminds me of a much better version of a this clown art theme that I've seen where there would be a single tear cascading gently down its face in that precious moment of kindred spirit thought. :)

That and a little Gil Bruvel thrown in for style.

I'd like to see how you'd do with a full costume design using this style...say like some kind of Thai Princess Warrior theme....GO! ;)

I am wondering what it would be like as stone. The carved parts in the flesh arequite nice and the overall style so different from what you normally do. It kind of amkes me wonder what a full piece in this style would look like. I do agree with Shane...I keep thinking the teardrop.

Thanks you guys...
Dang...I'm trying to image what you guys are describing (teardrop) but, all that comes to mind are those horrible velvet clown paintings w/ flowing tears. (I pray to god it's not that.) :-)
